More About Shelby...

As a first-generation college graduate, I earned my PharmD and began my pharmacy career in Omaha, NE, as a pharmacy practice resident and inpatient pharmacist. My professional background also includes roles as pharmacy residency director, long-term care pharmacist, community pharmacist, and academician.

I began my Medical Affairs career in 2010 with an MSL position at a major pharmaceutical company. I also served as an MSL for a small biotech company before advancing to MSL leadership, where I managed both regional and national teams. During my Medical Affairs tenure, I coached, mentored and trained hundreds of MSLs and MSL leaders to thrive in their role.

After a corporate downsizing, I reflected on my career and identified components of my previous roles that were most meaningfully aligned with my passion to help others reach their potential. These reflections, along with my experience navigating the challenges and successes as a Medical Affairs professional, inspired me to launch Thrive MSL where I’ve made it my mission to empower and equip MSLs and MSL leaders to thrive professionally and personally by building confidence, enhancing career skills, navigating transitions, setting and achieving goals and celebrating successes.

On a personal note, I am a proud mom of four, Creighton men’s basketball fan (Go Jays!), coffee enthusiast, dog lover and avid reader who loves dancing, travel and popcorn!
